Tony Ranger

Tony came to Cannon Court as a boy in 1940 with his parents, Len and Ivy. He was converted at the age of twelve and baptised in 1953. After two years national service, he married Barbara in 1957. Both he and Barbara have taught in Sunday School for many years and had many happy years leading the young peoples’ work.

Tony was invited to join the oversight in 1970 and became a trustee of Cannon Court in 1980. Tony and Barbara’s daughter Angela is married to John McNicol and they have three grown up children. John, Angela and family  are all involved in their church in Chippenham. Their son Trevor is married to Ruth and they have two children. He is a full time evangelist, working in the Chippenham area.

Tony and Barbara have lived in Fetcham for over seventy years and are well known in the village. In their time they have seen many changes both in the village and Cannon Court.


Mark Watts

Mark, was born to Christian parents in Buckhurst Hill, Essex and became a Christian himself when he was about 9 years old. He grew up with a medical background as his Dad was a surgeon and his Mum was a nurse! After many years of bachelorhood, his heart was eventually won by a young lady called Heather from Cumbria whom he subsequently married in 1996. Mark and his family came to live in Fetcham from Croydon in 2002.

Mark became a leader at Cannon Court in 2008 and throughout his time here he has been actively involved in supporting all aspects of the fellowship and in teaching and evangelism. Mark and Heather have two children, Naomi (13) and Abigail (11) who attend Howard of Effingham Academy. Mark works for the Metropolitan Police in London and is an active member of The Christian Police Association.


Stephen Neill

Stephen was born in Zambia, later moving to Port Elizabeth in South Africa. His parents served as missionaries in Central and Southern Africa for many years. He became a Christian after his first year at Sakeji Boarding School in North West Zambia and was baptised at the age of 16. After graduating from university in South Africa, he came to the UK for post graduate studies. In 1991, he married Jane from Ballymena Northern Ireland. Stephen and Jane have four sons, Ollie, Charlie, Patrick and Benjamin who all attend Cannon Court.

Stephen, became a leader at Cannon Court in 2003. He is committed to working with his fellow elders to support and build up the fellowship. He is also a member of the Mid-Surrey branch of the Gideons, a global organisation that seeks to distribute the Word of God in schools, hospitals hotel and individuals and to reach people for Christ.


Mark Gooding

Mark was raised in Fetcham and first came into contact with Cannon Court when he attended the Friday Club. At the age of 13 he suffered the trauma of losing his Dad, an event which had a profound impact on his life. In 1989 he came to know the Lord whilst attending a Crusader football camp. He was baptised in 1994 and became a member of Cannon Court fellowship. After leaving high school, Mark went to study at Leeds University. During his time at Leeds he met Fran. They married in 1997 and had two boys, Christopher and Marcus.

Mark joined the leadership of Cannon Court in 2007 and brought with him a welcome injection of younger blood! He has been responsible for leading the Friday Club for many years now and his IT skills have proved to be an extremely valuable asset to the fellowship.
